چکیده
In this paper we describe the most importantsecurity requirements, which must be ful-filled by today's IT-systems, and the securitymeasures used to satisfy these requirements.These security measures are based on mod-ern cryptographic mechanisms as well as onsecurity infrastructures.Regarding data security and communicationsecurity in particular in the field of multime-dia, the requirements on security increase. Ifand in which way the discussed securitymechanisms can be applied to multimedia se-curity is difficult to analyse. This is mainlydue to the complexity of multimedia data andtheir applications. This paper introduces themain issues of IT-security and represents thebasis for solutions of security problems in thefield of multimedia.
